Love Grows One By One

by Carol Johnson, © 1981 Noeldner Music, BMI

Listen to the whole song on H.U.M. - All Year Long! or hear it here:

It's a great time to say "I love you!" Now do it with song and hand movements. Then make some paper hearts, flowers, kissy lips - put them around the room to remind you of the child(ren) who made them with you! You'll find yourself humming this one all the time!

Lyrics:

Love grows, one by one
Two by two, and four by four
Love goes round like a circle
And comes back knocking at your front door
repeat it as many times as you like!

Movements:

Line One
Love: Cross arms over heart with fisted hands
1 x 1: Hold out one pointer finger, then the other
Line Two
2 x 2: Hold out two fingers on one hand, then the other
4 x 4: Hold out 4 fingers on one hand, then the other
Line Three
Love: Cross arms over heart with fisted hands
Round like a circle: Sweep both hands in a BIG circle 2 times
Line Four
Knocking: Knock gently with your fist at your chest.

Age Range: 2 –- 100 years old

Purpose: Small motor movement, wonderful message to get the warm fuzzies going!
